quick-ways-to-dress-up-your-summer-casual-clothing

It feels like summer was just made for casual clothing. When it’s hot, and we’re out having fun with family and friends, we want to be comfortable, but we can’t always lounge around in shorts and a t-shirt. Sometimes, we want to dress up our casual outfits a bit, without becoming too formal.

When it comes to dressing up casual clothing, we’ve found that it’s all about walking that fine line between style and comfort. Go too far in either direction, and you’ll wind up regretting what you’re wearing.

Here’s a few quick tips to get it just right.

Mix Sporty and Casual Wear

A loose, comfortable summer dress is a great way to keep cool in the summer, but it doesn’t have to be paired with heels or sandals (neither of which are easy on the feet).

A pair of white sneakers are perfect for those days when you’ll be on your feet for long periods of time. Whether you are chasing your kids around the park or walking around town, you can pair even a fancy summer dress with some comfortable sneakers.

If the tennis pros can pull it off, so can you!

For an even more sporty look, top off your outfit with a workout headband that matches the color of your dress and you’ll achieve the perfect mixture of sporty and casual wear.

Roll up Those Sleeves

Even if you’ve already transitioned your wardrobe to summer, that doesn’t mean all of your long sleeve shirts are off limits. You can stay cool and look classy by rolling up the sleeves on your button down shirts.

Try wearing one underneath a sleeveless dress or with a mini skirt for a slightly formal, yet fun summer look.

Accessorize

Feel like sticking with a plain white t-shirt and shorts? Dress up your casual outfit with some accessories like fashion scarves, hats, shoes or jewelry. These small additions can make even the most simple outfit stand out.

Bonus: Since the Rio 2016 Olympics are on this summer, why not dress up your casual clothes with some patriotic summer apparel and accessories.
